    Kibondeni College of Catering and Accommodation is a private, NITA-accredited institution in Nairobi, Kenya, specializing in hospitality and catering training. The college is a project of the Nurisha Trust (an offshoot of Kianda Foundation) and is specifically committed to the education and welfare of women in Kenya.

    • Focus: It aims to equip young women, particularly from low-income families, with the technical and human skills needed for a career in the hospitality industry, promoting self-reliance and professionalism.  

    • Mission & Vision: Its mission is to provide women with all-round formation to be excellent professionals of high integrity in the service of society through hospitality. The vision is to be a center of excellence in hospitality training.  

    • History: The college started in 1961 as an in-service catering training school, eventually developing into the present college. It was one of the first women's hospitality colleges established in Kenya.  

    • Location: It is located on Kabarsiran Avenue, Off James Gichuru Road, Nairobi (in Dagoretti North Constituency).  


    📚 Programs Offered

    Kibondeni College offers various courses focused on practical, hands-on training, often including dual training in hotels:  

    • NITA National Skills Certificate (NSC) Level IV (4 Terms): Comprehensive course covering Housekeeping, Food service, Laundry techniques, and Food production. Entry grade is KCSE mean grade D plain to A.  

    • NITA National Skills Certificate (NSC) Level III (3 Terms): Focuses on Professional Housekeeping, Basic Culinary skills, Hotel service operations, and Laundry. Entry is KCPE or KCSE mean grade D– and above.  

    • NITA Grade Test (3 Terms): Builds practical skills in Food production, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Food & Beverage Service. Open to those with KCPE or KCSE.  

    • Housekeeping Cookery Course (H.C.C.) (3 Months): A short, practical program for fast-track skills in cooking basics, guest room care, laundry & service.  

    The institution also emphasizes character training, etiquette, and personality development alongside technical skills.
